Southern CA meetup?

Is anyone in in CA interested in a meetup? If so for a day or weekend?
I keep reading about all of the meetups back east and it sounds like a lot of fun. Just wondering is we are "too busy" here or if you want to get together and have fun sharing ideas/skills?

Just wanted to encourage you to put this together if at all possible; you'll have a wonderful time and make some new friends, no matter how many people attend!

Hi,

I'm in CA, but I'm more Northern than Southern. I'm about an hour S of San Jose.
Whereabouts in Southern CA are you?

And, yes, I would be interested, depending on where it is held.

Great Tonto
We are in So Cal -The Inland Empire
Depending on interest level maybe Joshua Tree (warmer in fall-winter).
Or Big Bear - Serrano Campground is open until November 30th.
Maybe Tehacapi?
Open to all ideas.
Skill wise we can offer medical type prep. I am a Licensed Midwife, hubby is a French Polisher-he could teach furniture repair-finishing.
We use a lot of herbal medicine and are interested in gardening, fishing, outdoor cooking etc.

We go south a few time a year. It would depend.

If not enough people can go south maybe somewhere in the middle.

motivated where are you at in the Inland Empire? I grew up down there, in Indio. Lived in Menifee/Lake Elsinore area the last 16 years and moved out last year (June '05). If I was still down there I'd love to meet up with fellow Californians. Hope you're able to put it together.

If it were southern CA, then those of us from AZ and Nevada could come too!

Why not give it the good ol California flavor! Miracle Hot Springs, you bring the nuts and fruits, we'll bring the granola.

Near Lake Isabella, on the Kern river. There is/was a nice campground nearby within walking distance of the natural hot spring. Not sure if it's still nice since it's been so many years.

Do you know the name of the campground? That is a nice area and might attract folks from northern CA. Thanks for the suggestion.
