How do YOU get rid of Unwanted Tenants?

No, not renters. I'm talking about the spider and caterpillar population that seems to be booming under my eaves and in every window corner they can find. We do have a few that make it indoors, but mostly I'm talking about the ones all over the outside of the house. At first I thought ' no problem, the spiders will eat other bugs'. Little did I realize they'd leave their spider poopies all up and down the side of the house, and all kinds of things get caught in the abandoned webs.

So to make things look neater outside, I've taken the broom to the little buggers. I can't think of any other way to deal with them since we have other animals around the house and free ranging chickens. Bug spray is definitely out.

How do you keep them off your house?

I don't.

But if I wanted to get rid of them, I'd use a broom or a hose.

Rent a power washer and blow em all over to your neighbor's house......

I hate those cobwebs. Nothing like walking out the door and running smack into one on the way to the car. Then the stringy stuff is all stuck in your hair, and as your driving down the road you realize the spider is still stuck in the web which is stuck to you...

Give them thirty days notice! Little tiny eviction papers...

Actually I don't rid of them either. I'd rather them than mosquitoes!

If only they would take care of the mosquitoes, they'd have free rent for life! I tried charging them rent, but I only need so many dead bugs.

Thanks, all!
I had thought maybe there was some secret to it that I was missing out on.
