Nice place up for auction next door if anyone's interested!

The crazy neighbors next door got a divorce and put their place up for sale back in the winter. It hasn't sold because they were asking to much...$350,000 for 30+ acres and a 27+ year old house that needs some work. Now we find out they've lost it to the bank and the bank is putting it up for auction Sept. 22.

It's a nice piece of property about eight miles out of Senatobia, MS on a very quiet country road. The property is mostly flat hay field. One side is completely wooded and vacant (owners live out of town) and the other side is our place with a new fence running almost the entire length. The back side borders our wonderful neighbors and the front is road frontage. The house is a two story over 2500 sq. feet and sits almost a half mile off the road. There is an above ground pool in the front yard and they added a big deck on the front (which looks real odd to me). DSL service is now available here and I think the house has fireplaces and gas heat.

Anyway, if anyone is interested I'll try to get more info. My neighbor behind us said it was advertised in the local paper this week so hubby is going to pick one up.

Smile A Suggestion...

Raven,

Anyone interested may want to know what sort of work is available in your area, since most on here are not independently wealthy enough to move without a job of some kind.

Well, we're a 45 minute drive south of Memphis so I guess pretty much any type of job is available. Then there's the 25 mile drive to Southaven which is booming...new industrial parks and retail businesses going up every day.

Any idea how much the bank is expecting to get for it at auction? If he borrowed heavily against the property, it may have a high reserve price.

From what I can find out, it looks like $120,000 is still owed on the property, but I'm still checking to make sure that is correct.

Lula is about 40 miles from the property.
