What a Deal!!

A furniture parts factory closed here a couple of years ago. The Town owned the property the plant sat on and ended up with the factory building. I was walking around it last fall and noticed there was a large amount of the lot that was higher than the rest. I got poking around and found out the high ground was all old sawdust which had rotted over the years. I asked at the Town Office if it was claimed by anyone and got a no for an answer. Then I asked if I could have it. They said yes, so last week I borrowed a loader tractror and a 10 wheeled dump truck and started hauling it home. I got 13 loads and then had a problem with the truck. I just scratched the surface of this stuff. I bet there are another 80 to 100 truckloads of this compost there. So far it has cost me the price of fuel, my time and a small repair bill on the truck. When the situation permits, I will be going back for more. This stuff is hardwood sawdust and chips, some of which is 20 years old.
What a deal.
