Has anybody seen the book

TOOLS For Homesteaders, Gardeners, and small Farmers circa 1972. Its a BIG book, 572 pages. Im wondering if that was the only one published. I know that there are MANY companies operating now that wernt even started in 1972. There are many machines, made overseas tht arent made here that would be useful, Hammermills, buzz saws, ect, big walking garden tractors, Many hand gardening tools. I know through reading SFJ that there are companys now making horse related machinery that arent even in this big book. Theres not one mention in it of harness makers, and there are at least a 100 in business today on some scale. That would be a book id like to keep current with if it was continually made

Smile Amazon...$3.00

Doesn't say anything about any updated version...they have 2 listed - 1978 ed.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=br_ss_hs...Go.x=9&Go.y=11

The book review also says:

"Also look for titles by Gene Logsdon. He is THE source for small scale farmers and wanna be's."

Go to Amazon.com and search for titles by this guy...

I have that book.........

very sad, actually. Many small tractors, rototillers, planters, etc that have been replaced by cosmetically correct, high priced, dealer repair only machinery.
Did you have a specific piece or question? I can look it up.

Gene Logsdon makes the point in the book very lucidly for an older tractor on a small acreage.

Plus, this would make a great book for a fabricator to get ideas from.
