Ooooo so close!

The goal was to be completely through the "to-do" list by tomorrow so that the property could go up for sale. I've had a few minor set-backs, and am not getting through it as quickly as I had hoped. But that's OK, I'm getting so close. I knocked out all of the back of the property today, personal record. All I have left is to go back to one of cleared areas and pick up some of the kind of bamboo like stinky weeds that were chopped. I don't want to leave that much on the path. I was surprised how dead many spots are with the lack of rain. I was even more surprised to find a beautiful little grassy spot that I love almost exactly as I remember it with no sign of stress from the lack of rain. This natural grass out here is the most amazing stuff. It never gets over about a foot high and can go long periods of time with no water. Of course there are very few areas with just woodlands grass. Most of it is vines and tough weeds and just growth.

Going to eat a bite and work on the inside. It sure would be niced to have some food magically appear on the counter about now. I think I;ll just sprinkle some soy sauce on some raw zipper peas and not heat up the house with cooking.

Anyway, I'm very excited and it's all starting to come together out there. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it looks like sunlight, not a train.

Selling this place will mean the cash to start over and do it right this time! My ex-husband left me with a ton of debt and then trashed this property before I finally got him out of here. After a couple of years trying to un-do all the mess he did, I'm almost done with the whole thing. I will miss it though, it's so pretty now.

edit: whoops sorry, didn't mean to put this in the questions section of the forum.

Good luck! Hope it goes well for you and you get the place you dream of.

I'm sure you've considered every angle regarding the possibility of staying on your pretty place.

Yeah, I need to go. It will allow me to get out of debt (pay off all the ex's medical bills I was left with), have some money left over and have the freedom to move up north with the BF and start another homestead up there. I learned more lessons out here than I wanted to, but at least I learned.

I've been thinking that I was doing all the hard stuff first and saving the easy (in the house) stuff for last. Now that I'm faced with the "easy" stuff, I'm thinking about what else I could do outside. I can't burn because of this junk on my arm (can't take the heat). It'll take 15 min to pick up the rest of the stuff I chopped down yesterday. So, I now realize today when faced with the options of cleaning mini-blinds or washing walls, it's not that out side is harder - it's a lot more fun. It's no fun for me working in the house even if it is easier. I thought I had left myself the easy stuff for last and I'll I've done is leave myself the boring stuff.
