I've had GBH's, as well as several other heron species, since the lake was a pond... I've got too much surface area to worry about incidental losses... Now the cormorants are a different story... they'll clean a pond out, no matter how much underwater 'structure' you've got. I harass them each spring to make sure they don't feel too welcome...
