My dad was a meatcutter, he had a grinder similar to that one but he motorized it. Living on the farm, we always had extra motors laying around so he just put a couple reducer pulleys on the thing and away it went. He could grind up the burger meat from a side of beef in no time!

That's a good price, I just bought a new grinder and it only does 4#/min and I paid $32.

That will grind, especially after you mount a motor to it. Remember to lubricate the auger at the wear points using shortening or lard.

I have had that same grinder for 6 years and have ran a bunch of meat through it . I have a motor hooked to it 3/4hp that I had laying around. The bearings in the back of mine started coming out of the race last year I tightened them up but know I'll have to replce it soon . It was the same price 6 yr. ago . I have been pleased with it but you still have to prep your meat & remove hard chunks or it will plug up .

Buy the bugger Rocky. You'll be able to grind up that venison as fast as Tina can shoot them and drag them home.
It looks like all the old sausage grinders did when FDR got in office. They all were bolted to a hardwood 2x8, and had a crank, but no pulley.
I seen my stepdad jack up the rear wheel of our Model A and tie the grinder crank to a spoke in the wheel with binder twine at my older brothers house. That old grinder was so dull you could hardly crank it, but boy oh boy it sure chawed up that hog in a hurry tied to our Ford.

Yelp that would work.Seen people jack up Cars, put a shoot under them poor Walnuts in there to knock Hulls off.

We have a Hand Grinder, just thought this one would be better.Got a Saw,Grinder combo. But hate dragging it out just to use the Grinder, plus we debone all our meat.If anyone was real close wanting it I sure would sell it at a good price.

ROCKY, Deboning your meat made me wonder if it would be possible to smoke the larger bones that you would have for dog treats. I've seen farm stores with big boxes of brown animal bones that smelled and looked like they had been smoked. They price them like steak for all those sweet little davenport flea peddlers to knaw on.
Maybe you could open a store front pet shop called ROCKPILES BONEPILE We got a bone to pick with you!

Just wondering if anyone ever makes soup with them deer bones anymore? When I was growing up we didn't waste nothing. We always left a little meat on them bones so we could use them to make soup and noodles. The dogs got second gnawings!!!!

Rocky, You need a backhoe to dig holes for your beagle. Is there room between the rocks to bury a naked set of bones?

Not really you can always see some sticking out.I take him Rabbit hunting.I always give him the Head as I shoot them. Then I have to wait on him to bury it before we can get back to hunting.

You should carry a folding chair along to sit on while your hound digs holes. Oh course if you are in a hurry you could just carry a little foxhole shovel, and help dig.
