How beautiful!!!! I have been trying to learn to spin (with my biggest obstacle being lack of TIME) but you have inspired me anew!
what do you spin most of the time? Do you have your own animals? I have Angora rabbits and goats and hope to get Angora goats soon....I also have friends who have given me black sheep fiber, llama fiber, and CAMEL fiber!!!!
thanks for the beautiful photos!!!

carly's wool
Very nice Carly! It's nice to see the 'in-progress' stage of an artist's work! I hope the warm weather works to your benefit for a fast drying! Do you also knit/crochet with your own yarn, or strickly sell it?
Keep up the dyeing

The pictures do not do the yarn justice. I saw the yarn myself and being the knowledgable person on yanks of yarn that I am (i know nothing about yarn) I saw the colors were vibrant and those who do know yarn were buying it left and right with both arms and their hands full. So I do know all about yarn --that being if they are buying it with both arms full it's a great deal and the quality is fantastic. Know if anyone would like to purchase yarn like this I have an insider deal with Carly where she delivers the yarn to me and I double the price for my good customers. That number is BR -549

We have several spinners here. The hanks of yarn are like works of art to me. I'd like to have a picture of them or just have some of them around just to LOOK at...they are both visually and tactilely appealing...I hang around the yarn booths a lot at the fairs and history day events...spinning itself looks soooo relaxing, almost mesmerizing...

I spin mostly Merino, but love to spin Finn and Shetland wool as well. Lincoln is good too, but Merino is as soft almost, as angora. I spin from lace weight to bulky and thick and thin. All the yarn is hand dyed or handpainted. Sometimes for a one color item (custom spinning and dying) I will vat dye.
I use a Rick Reeves/Schaat wheel I had custom made 3 years ago, before that I had an Ashford and it worked very well. This new wheel is sooo nice.
The llama and camel are very tricky to spin, let me warn you!
You should try to get some time to learn, go to Spinners and Weavers Housecleaning website and those gals have wheels, yarn, wool and things for sale. I have never been stung there. And I have sold there, too.
Good Luck, the world needs more spinners, very relaxing.

Oh, right! As if...
Gordon is right, the yarn was flying out of the bins and into bags and arms, but I didn't sell it, we all bartered. I got honey and eggs from Hiltop, angora fiber coming from backtotheland, and other things as well. Some yarn I gave away. Everything needs a home.
Now, among everything else, GS is a yarn expert!! You are too much, mister.
