Winter weather forcast

Any ideas on any sites that talk about winter weather forcasts for your local area? I'm just kinda curious what they have to say, seems like a real early fall in my parts.

Hope it works, I could only get the prediction for September and October. You can chose your area to find your prediction.

Question

We generally use the Old Farmers Almanac as well...but I guess the weather in New England is anybody's guess! I love thinking about the impending winter!

I wouldn't mind an early fall here. It's too hot!!

Besides, I'm waiting on cooler weather to get hatching eggs shipped to me.

I haven't checked the almanac yet, but a hunter friend in to buy apples said the doves are gone. Made no sense to me til he elaborated that they had already flown south. Said a friend of his heard we'll have a first freeze this September. Waaay too early for Kansas. Just my 2 cents worth. I know we have had a drought this year until about a month ago when we had 4 1/2 inches of rain. Last Friday to Sunday we received 6 1/2 inches of rain. Very unusual for central Ks. Maybe this points to a (finally) wet fall and winter. Hope so. Don't want the cold, but always could use the moisture.

I got some neighbors with outdoor furnaces. They have huge piles of wood stacked out there already. That's the surest sign of a cold winter that you can find anywhere.

We've seen the geese "V"ing up. I would make my guesses based on nature's signs, like this, alot more than the weather forcasters.
Case in point, look at the horrible hurricane season they predicted for this year!
