Smile Some Good News

GOOD NEWS
Today I got a letter from my first cousin. She had a terrible fight with her parents and ran away from home 15 years ago. This is the first contact in all that time. She had a really bad time for years but now she said she had settled down and is doing ok. Care to guess which state she’s in?

We chose to Home School our daughter this year. All of us took the NC Hunter Safety Course offered by the NC Wildlife Resource Commission. This was one of the subjects our Daughter picked out to be a part of the Home Schooling. I am proud to announce we all passed and received the Certificate and Patch. My daughter scored higher than some of the adults.

She's in Darby, Montana.

I was so glad to learn that she was still alive and ok. I had began to fear the worst. 15 years is a long, long time to not hear from someone.

Yes, that is a long time, especially not knowing if she was ok or not.

I wanted to add too, that is great news about your daughter. I love it when the homeschooled kids outshine everyone else! My niece had to fight to get into beauty school back in 1995 (because of being homeschooled), and when she did, she had the highest grades of everyone.

How nice to know your cousin is doing okay.

Congrats to all of you on passing the hunting safety course. Way to go!

Weren't you smart to homeschool!! Now if you have to relocate, your DD won't have much of an adjustment to make. Congratulate her for me on the high scores.

Not trying to jack your thread here, but last week my father called and asked if I remember him talking of his sister who no one had seen since 1948 and everyone assumed she had died long ago. Turns out she is alive, her daughter contacted my Dad last week and to say the least he was blown away. She was told my father died in Korea in 1950 so never looked for him and she had married and moved to California from PA. I am sure there is more to it than that but??? Anyway the down side to all this is she has cancer and only has about 6 months to live.
