I got it for free

Went to Mills fleet & farm today to pick some stuff up. When I was leaving I noticed a incubator box in a cart in the cart area. Well I lost my box for ours some time ago and could use a new one to store ours. Picked up the box and it was heavy so I looked inside and there is a complete 'bator. I throw it in the car and drove home.

When I got home I took it out of the box and this is what I found.

Hey! The pictures didn't work for me. I want to see what's up.

Glad for you that you got the free parts but I still want to see the pictures.

Well, first off I would have taken the box back into the strore instead of throwing it in my car. Someone else probably paid for it and forgot it. Second of all that is one sick looking snake. Sure lucky that snake did not creep out of that box into the car.

This is Jon's wife answering, but I asked him too how he knew it wasn't someone's they had just bought and forgot, and he said he could tell it was dirty(used).

As for the snake, it is well done, fried from getting in the wrong place in the incuabator I imagine.

Since it was dirty, I'm guessing someone tried to return it (because it fried) and Mill's said... Uh no way

Where I live that is called STEALING. Not only did you get what you paid for, you got what you deserved.

Looks to me like you saved another peice of trash from going to the landfill. Good thing you were helping the environment and not stealing something.

If you find a $100 bill laying in the road and you pick it up is that stealing too?

Well---yes! Perhaps not theft, but illegal. Where I live you are required to turn found items into the police. At the time you turn them in you may request return of the item if it remains unclaimed for the required period of claim time.

I have gotten cameras, watches, etc. from doing that very thing. A few turned in items have been claimed by the owner. One camera belonged to an exchange student that had all of their going away last day photos on the film.

Usually I am required to call at the end of the claim period to see if an item has been picked up by its rightful owner. Many times it is mine to go pick up.

This is exactly the kind of thing I am talking about in my reading comprehension thread.
