Question Building a Trike for Mom Q's

Hi all, for years my mother has been gathering all the parts ect. needed for her trike, she has a complete running rebuilt VW engine sitting in the garage on blocks and a trike frame under cover out back (has 3 wheels, handle bars, place for seat and diamond plate running boards)---here's the rub, no one I know can put it together nor can we afford to pay to have it put together. The people I have met with the knowledge either have a high pricetag with them or say if they put the time into it they'd keep it. Sooooo I was thinking, I'm fairly handy with a wrench, I work on all the cars here, technically I could gain the knowledge to do this. We have a garage, I could rig a cherry picker to lift the engine, but what I need is step by step installation specifically for trikes. Sort of a Chilton book for building. Any suggestions? She's got all the parts and after 5 years of collecting it's time to assemble. I know this is a huge project, and I certainly don't expect this to be a quick one. But really if all that's in my way is a little knowledge, then doesn't that fall into the homesteaders motto? Learn it, Create it, Use it---maybe someday I could even add Teach it to that.

Any help is greatly appreciated and welcomed.

My brother used to carry VW engines under his arm...they aren't that heavy.

Lots of places online that chronicle a person's trike building...find a website that is informative enough and follow what they did...maybe even "talk" to the builder. BTW...be sure to put a couple wheels on the *back* of the frame so the trike won't flip...also allows some fantastic wheelies!

Try this site, it is the INternational site for Brothers of the Third Wheel.
Lots of good trikers there and I am sure some from your area
