Buying groceries on Amazon.com

Just found out that Amazon (yeah, the book store) is now selling non-perishable grocery items on their web site.

Has anyone used their service, and if so, what did you think of it???

I checked the web site to see if there was a minimum order and couldn't find any info.

Any comments or info appreciated.

Thanks

I use them. Right now they have several brands on sale, $10 off orders over $49? Don't quote me on that! Also over $25 qualifies for free shipping. I like it.

I used the $10 off coupon recently. I got free two day shipping (I sigined up for 3 months free of their prime service) and spent about 1/2 less then I usually do at the grocery store for my kids snacks. Definetly will be using it again.

I picked up a bunch on non-perishable organic items a while ago when Ravenlost posted a link to a great sale they were having. It worked out really well for us and DS loved the hi protien organic granola. It was about 50% off retail, and we got free shipping.

Yup, I order every time they're running a special deal on organic foods (which they are right now). I've been very pleased!

I just checked it out. I was shocked at the prices, maybe I just don't purchase that many processed foods, organic or not. I really think that shopping specials, and making your own mixes, sites I have found on this board, would be much cheaper. Or it could just be me, the tightwad before the book came out.
