Backwoods Home "the whole shebang"...

Anyone ever bought this? Was it worth it?

I have it. It was worth it to me. Alot of good info. But would rather have "the whole shebang" of "Countryside", if it was available....but have not seen it anywhere. If you are not familiar with BWH, there is alot of gun info. and self defense info as well as homesteading info. This turns some people off. Just my opinion.

We did it a couple of years ago, I think there were only 10 anthologies(sp) then. We think it was worth it and if we didn't have a subscription we would consider the "whole shebang".. Please note we are fans of the magazine and find alot of good information in its pages...

I've been reading a few articles online and am quite impressed. It seems to be well-written and focussed, without the namby-pamby artsy factor of a periodical like Harrowsmith and the like.

What format do the CDs come in? Are they easy to use? Can you search by topic, or are they arranged simply by issue?

I know, I know... so many questions...

Tracy

Highly recommend....lots of homeschool in them too

Cd's are organized in years as anthologies, and also by topic (alternative Energy, Emergency preparedness) and by author Duffy, Clay and sylveria? and the guy that cooks?

It is .pdf (Adobe)and files are selected by topic....the Energy cd has topics, wind power, wood, cooking with wood etc

Mine has been loaned out many times!!!! I just got it back after 1 yr on loan to a friend....he hated to return it

I got it too, lots of interesting information. I like Jackie Clay's courage and perserverance!

Plus they have lots of basic good recipes too.

Well now that the price is about halved is the perfect time to get it, I bought it when they dropped the price and am enjoying it immensely well worth the $. Also I just subscribed when they lowered that cost.
