Anybody here heard of "Cow Patty Bingo"?
Um. I was quite astonished---my jaw literally slowly dropped as the explanation was being made to me---to discover there is an actual, uh, game (?) called "Cow Patty Bingo".
We were discussing fundraiser ideas for the Tae Kwon Do Competition Team at our school.
It seems that you take a fenced area, mark it off in squares...and then release a cow into the area, after taking bets on which square the cow patty will fall???

Yep, been playing it for over 25 years. Sometimes the game is over almost before it starts, other times it takes all day.

Well, I volunteered one of my goats...I thought we could call it "Nanny Berry Bingo". Has a sort of ring to it, doesn't it?
Besides, a goat is much smaller and easier to handle than a cow. And their nanny berries are nicer and neater. Just feed them a slice of apple and their pooper turns on.
We figured we'd count it as a "hit" if the majority of the little berries were on one square...
Of course, if someone called "fraud" as they did in the elections, the recount could get a bit odourous, I mean onerous...

Yep, the aggies at university did it.
People complained about the poor cow being fenced in a small area. She had at space that she could easily walk around in, and was only in there during the day ... for a few days running ... with water and hay, I didn't think it was mean!

LOL there are a lot of crueler fates than letting a cow take a dump in a field. Some people get mad over anything. I know the one htey here if it hit your square you got a 1000 bucks

They did it as a fund raiser where I used to live. It's kind of an iffy thing. As in IF it doesn't rain or IF the temp isn't 100+. And then of course there is the IF the cow goes in a reasonable amount of time. Dh got corralled into being a judge. It rained but the judges had to stay until the cow produced something on one of the squares so there was a winner. It took a couple of hours. It was miserable. They never did that again.

A nearby high school done the same thing with a chicken. Chickens don't require as much room, and less splatter.

They have done Cow Chip Bingo down here for years in a nearby village call Lineboro Maryland. The Volunteer Fire Dept does it to raise money each year. One of these days I've got to get out there and play!!!!

Well, they are having a Cow Patty Bingo near here this weekend at the Landsdowne Fair. The winner gets $1000...not too shabby! They are quite common at the Ag Fairs in my area, as are the "Kiss A Pig" contests.

There is always one at the Ripley Co MO. fair held in Doniphan each year. I have never played, but I guess there are a lot of people that does. I do know they don't keep the cow there all time, I will have to pay more attention to the way they do it this year.

I personally want to know who thought of this in the first place? What kind of mind conceives of such a thing?
