water softener pellets
Up to now I've used only sodium based salt pellets for the water softener.
Since I upgraded the plumbing system in the new house part, i asked the installer of the water conditioning system about sodium getting into water not good healthwise to drink. He said that it's not a concern as sodium doesn't get in the water after conditioning and backflushing and so on.
What about that?
Also, I am considering using potassium based water softener pellets, but they are much more expensive. The information on the bag is that these potassium pellets don't put sodium in your water like regular water softener pellets.
So which is the right stuff to beleve about all this?
anyone in the know? speak.
