WI get together Sept 16

OK we set a place, it will be at Collins Lake Park just of Hwy 66 about 15 miles east , north east of St Point.
The Date is Sept 16th. Collins park has a pavilion, I will rent it if its available, the park does have camping, a swimming beach , nice playground equipment. And there are panfish and northerns to catch. A canoe, kayak would be perfect. Its a small country park, should be tons of fun.
OK now we need to get a list of how many will be attending, and what you are bringing for the pot luck. Each family should bring their own drinks, plates and cutlery. OH and don't forget the lawn chairs. I would also suggest to bring your own drinking water, the water their is not the best tasting.

I will be bringing beef BBQ and Buns, Also will bring volley ball and net.

Great idea. Wife is off that day, so count us in. Fishing will be great for the kids. Let me know what sort of goodies we can bring. It'll be great to put faces to names.

2 adults and 4 chillins.

I called the Parks Dept today and they said that the bathrooms WILL BE open on the 16th but I didn't ask about the pavillion...I figured you would be asking about that?

Count us in! We may even try to find a babysitter for the animals and stay a night or two. I will make some homemade loaves of zucchini bread.

If you want to camp, call the Parks Dept and ask for information about Collins Lake. They will transfer you.

First post here!

Yep, I may be new and perhaps noone will even care to put a face to this name but I'd sure like to join you folks there! I'm from over near Oshkosh but have my best friend living about five miles from Collins Park!

I'll get back to you about the dish to pass. Straight Shot, PM me about the amount owed for the pavillion, OK? Looking forward to meeting some people from Wisconsin who are into the homesteading lifestyle! I must admit, at the moment I'm strickly just a wannabe!

I also plan on attending the NW Illinois homesteading weekend at MullersLane Farm this upcoming weekend. Anyone else going?

Dave
