Congratulations - Please share with us the process of moving a cabin. Is it taken apart again and re-assembled? How big is this place?

Looking forward to seeing the cabin - maybe you can get pictures of the move in progress?

Cheers

Its just 10X20.Still need to finish the inside.Plus we're going to come out 8' with a Porch. We figured this would be big enough, where we don't need a Shower, because where we're having it moved we already have a Shower House which we pay some on every year.

Whats done on it is good and solid and lot better than I do.I'd like to have it completed before Deer Season. But if I don't I still have the Camp Trailer.

Yes, please get pics up as soon as you can. My husband and I are thinking of buying some land and just building a small cabin there, since permanently moving seems a little out of the question at the moment. I'd love to hear all about the build, move, moving in, etc.
Congratulations!

I always wondered where they store those things in the summer? Sounds like a whole lot of trouble to park that thing on the lake every winter, freeze your bum off fishing all winter and then getting it moved and stored before spring thaw.

Now don't hit me............I'm just being ornery 'cause I don't like the cold weather

Same place we store our cars in the South. Up on blocks, in the yard.

Around lake Winnebago I saw a number of marinas that doubled as shanty storage yards as well. Stored your boat in the winter and your shanty in the summer... they did good business.

Truth is I was in a Deer Stand the other day just about as big.Had Heater and Toilet and everything.

Truth is its big enough for time spent at the Lake.Went and got a Small Refrigerator we loaned to our Son.It was setting out in the yard full of spoiled food.We cleaned it out,but its perfect size for up there.Just don't know why people can't take care of things that are not theirs.

There is a place here that rents Fishing Cabins that are half that size.Mostly Bed and Table.

Coalroadcabin & others,

There isn't much freezing done in those shanties. Most of them are insulated and have powerful heaters or wood stoves in them (open a window to avoid overheating). Coolers full of "adult beverages". Some even have bunks and TV's aboard.
