Free Packing Paper\Material.....

..................When in W.Mart I use those brown paper bags to put milk and other cold items in until I get home . I , always double bag the items for extra insulation . So , it occured too me that They would ALSO make excellent vehicles for packing small items like glasses , plates , and anything else that will fit , ...............And , they're ....FREE!!!!!
..................So , for the last 6 months I've been 'saving my sacks' in anticipation of selling my home and now I've plenty of sacks for packing . fordy...

We get all of our packing material from the dumpsters outside of clothing stores at the strip centers.

I save all my plastic grocery store and Wal Mart bags to use as packing. Works great! When my brother was in Iraq he said not only did my items arrive unbroken, but the plastic bags were very useful as well! So, that's kind of like triple recycling, right?

Yer quite welcome!

LOL...this thread reminds me of something my hubby said last night. I had gotten a box of items from an Ebay auction and was going through it. The seller had used sewing patterns, polyester filling and newspaper for packing materials. I was spreading out the patterns and separating the polyester filling from the newspaper, etc. Hubby said he'd never seen anyone get excited about "the stuffing". Heck, I plan to save and use all of it! She sent me some complete sewing patterns!

I love to read newspapers from other cities, when I get a package with newspaper used for packing I always read the newspaper! I know I'm kind of strange but thats ok..

When we moved I used our towels, washcloths, and clothing as packing material.

I read them too!

Whenever I move I like to use clean dishtowels, washcloths, etc. to back my dishes in as they arrive clean and ready to be put up!

Also...if you are moving....go get a pack of the cheapest coffee filters(or use some you have on hand). Get a pack of dollor store paper plates.

Put one paper plate between each dinner plate and a coffee filter between each bowl!
