Michigan HT'ers....
I've noticed there are quite a few Michiganders on this forum.... who'd be game for getting together, say at a campground and meeting over a BBQ or something this summer/fall?

Hi Kaza. You got them wolverines under control? I'm not a Michigander, but I live in Michiana. If that counts. Do they still close the Mackinac Bridge so people can walk across it on Labor Day? What ya say we all meet in the middle of the bridge and have a cook out? Maybe not.
A get together in one of the great parks on Lake Michigan sounds like a winner. UNK

We wouldn't be able to go this year but would definitely be interested next year. We live in Marquette County while both of our families live in the Grand Rapids area. We're headed down there the second weekend in July and my wife says "that's it until after this baby is born and a bit older!"
I've been trying to keep track and I think there are 12 of us michiganders on here???

I've walked the bridge before..and it was a fun experience.
But the small towns on either side of the bridge weren't designed to handle the huge influx of automobile visitors..and the resultant traffic jams are not something I'd look forward to.
A county fair somewhere might be something to consider..

I'm not sure exactly how many I've counted... but it's well enough for a fun gathering.
Maybe something in Aug. Of course you would be welcome Uncle Will.
Who else is intrested?

I think that would be a good idea. I don't post much on here, but I visit almost everyday. Would be nice to meet some fellow HT'rs

KAZA,
Great idea. Do you have a spot figured out already or should we give suggestions in our own area? Somewhere centrally located, north, mid-state, or south? Oh, I should not have said south as I don't want to go there unless it is absolutely necessary because I moved from SE Mi. to get away from there.

You can count me in!
As long as it's on a weekend, and somewhere in the Lower Peninsula ...

We're up to 12 so far!! WOOT!
I'm thinking Augest... I could take a weekend off work to do this. But I need input here. Do ya'll want to camp overnight? Meet and BBQ for the day and go home? Do both (whoever can camp, can stay and those who can't camp can come for the BBQ). Where in Michigan? I was thinkin mid-state.... or do ya'll want it farther north?

My DH and I may be interested. I also do not post a lot, but check in and read to learn almost daily!
Weekends are good. I also think West MI is great. Along the Lake maybe? Overnight camping could be fun! What about Ludington SP?
