She visited me on Fri....neighbors come and go strangely still and no one works...the code Enforcement officer made them not have the hot tub in the shed that couldnt support the wt of it anyhow and would have drained across her property

Now neighbor is building a deck despite being told that his Setbacks were not far enough....blew his head off at town office

I think she's going to put pigs and/or guinea fowl on the side of her barn closest to them

I talked to her yesterday. Guess the neighbors cut down several maple trees on pyrnads property. So she was going to meet with the Police Chief and the Forestry Dept.today.

Cutting trees on someone elses property in Maine is paramount to shooting someone so they are gonna be in big " do-do" and will probably cost them big money.

Well on them. I can't believe they had the nerve to come on the property and cut trees. Did they cut them and just leave them?

I'm not sure of all the details but I imagine Pyrnad will let us know what transpired when she gets down with the authorities.

So glad you were able to get pictures - nothing like photographic proof of who the culprits were! Hope you can get the monetary compenstation you deserve for the trees.

Don't know about up there but here in NC if someone cuts your trees , you get paid what the trees would have been worth at maturity and there is no taxes on it cuz you might have never sold the timber!!!!!!!!!!!!We had a friend who had the timber company cut $62,000. worth of his timber and he could not believe it. But was better when he found out what the law was....

They do the same thing here in Maine, however I was told yesterday because they were maple trees and big enough to tap for sap, they will figure in something called a syrup loss. I do not tap trees but several folks have asked me. I guess you get a % of the syrup money.
This is all new to me .
The jerks next door said they were clearing the property line, however the forrestry service service told them they were 20 feet past the survey pins.
It is going to cost them some big $$$$.
I hope they move.
PD served a criminal trespass on them. They can not cross property line again.

I absolutely cannot believe the brash, rude, baldfaced LYING attitudes some folks have. I know there are some bad apples but this has me flabbergasted.

GOOD JOB on getting the photographs.
I'm just floored.

Hey Pyrnad...

Guess what MY idiot neighbor did this morning... You know who I mean.. the ones with the tiny camp trailer up near the road.

You know I have been composting my manure pack over in the gravel pit... well this morning Janice went for a short walk with the dog and saw all kinds of steam coming off the pile. I took a look and he had a rented mini excavator and was taking the "not quite ready" compost over to his lot for a garden...

When I approached he said he was part owner of the gravel pit ( which he is, because it is a common lot for the subdivision of which I own 52% total) and besides, he continued, it looked like trash to him.

Guess if I left my truck in the pit with the keys in it he'd figure it was his to use as well.

One thing he doesn't realize is that I own the lots on BOTH sides of him. They have 250 feet frontage and we have been considering having both lots logged and cleared for more goats. He has 250 feet frontage in between my two lots of 306 feet and 275 feet.

Oh yeah.. they are suppossed to pay their share of snow removal and he informed me that they won't be paying anything until they move there on a permanent basis.

I'm not a person to mess with and he certainly has pushed my buttons.

What a novel idea. Around here we generally just use a pitchfork and a spreader.

Brighid1971....um I wouldn't go looking for a fight 'cause there are some folks here that work like the mob where you come from...its always best to talk about your plans w/ neighbors and ask to use things....

Burning of the game warden's house comes to mind in Cooper's Mills about 15 years back Several other "Jewish Lightening" events....as my neighbor calls them.

Ken I'd be telling that neighbor that your goat wormer will be bad for his garden (hasnt had time to leach out ) and sit back and have a laugh while he off loads his garden of YOUR manure I thought for sure he'd planted some community "GRASS" in the pile

My neighbor(Osama's twin)....convicted felon, nephew murderer, murderers father convicted sex offender...they cut CORDS of wood on land belonging to a family trust in Mass. without permission WE are not getting involved however.

Pyrnad looks like you'll be the new owner of the neighbors trailer? I'd bet he's not going to come up with money without bankruptcy....like you dont have enough to do huh???

mpillow thinks she needs to move the bush in AK to get away from Naughty Neighbors

The neighbors were complaining to the forrestry folk, that if they were not from New York, they would not be billed for the trees.
I found out today 3 of the trees were larger Cherry, which I was saving for boards for my kitchen cabinets. The guy was such a moron I have 2 and 3 foot stumps sticking out of the ground.
Ken and mpillow, maybe we could move all our Nasty neighbors and let them live together.
