I vote for western Colorado ---- it's awesome, and there's plenty of ranches around Grand Junction/Fruita.

Head up to western wyoming... the oil field is booming...from what I read there's a tremendous labor shortage, and if you have some roughnecking skills already, you're set! 18hour days, unlimited overtime...

looking for work

If you like construction try central Idaho they have a building boom going in Mc Call and Sun Valley areas anyone who can do any carpentry is guarenteed a job. Very expensive to live there though. May want to try it there for a while While looking around for some land you can afford.

In Wyoming, online try the Casper Star Tribune. It's "the" paper in wyoming. In Montana try the Billings Gazette. Both have classifieds for what your looking for and are distributed all over the state. Everybody up there posts most jobs in them.

Grand Junction, CO is booming. I wouldn't suggest anybody try to get land there. Most jobs are in the service industry.

You might look up towards Rangely, CO tho. Big oilfield there. I know a really great realtor if you PM me for her phone number and name. I can tell you right now, if you are wanting something to rent, there isn't anything available. There are some nice rv campgrounds tho and land is still pretty reasonable in the area. Climate is decent, high mtn desert area, low humidity doesn't get too terribly cold most yrs either.
