After...
Unfortunately thity minutes after I took those pictures above a storm came through, and dumped over 2" of rain in less than an hour winds 50+ MPH, hail the size of half dollars. Now the garden looks like this.

And it looks like more storms today and tomorrow.

I am sorry, I hope it recovers quickly. I bet it will be looking good as new in two weeks.

I think it'll be alright, if we don't get hammered again... I wanted to pull the dirt back up around the corn, but it's so wet in the garden you sink up to your shins.... Actually looking at it again, the corn is the only thing that suffered.

That must be so depressing. I'm glad to hear most will stand back up and grow for you . . .

We had two solid weeks of hot sunny weather up here, so most of my stuff is out in the raised beds (I have pure clay subsoil). It has now rained solid for a week, just poured, without the hail thank goodness or even frost (pure, pure luck). My garden looks like a small lake with little barges floating in it (the raised beds). I can't even get into it yet, it is too slippery.

If it makes any difference, the taters you planted have done quite well, even through the storm. :baby04:

Kinds know how you feel- we had frost last week and lost all my peppers and tomatoes....made me sick. So it was back to the local greenhouse and start over...if only I didn't jump the gun..locals around here say never to plant around here before June 1st. It is so hard to wait especially when all of you here are talking about your gardens and it is still months before we can even think of planting!!!!
