Good dog!

A dog doing its job brings a smile to my face. This rascal was intercepted tonight on the way to the chicken tractor.

Sure hope y'all don't have rabies up there! We're having a rash of rabies infected coons down here. Our dogs have found two dead coons already. Fortunately, all the dogs are up-to-date on shots and no one has gotten sick.

Being an exclusively outside dog and keeping in mind her habit of snacking on the local wildlife, I keep her shots up to date. We’ve got rabies here, but I got to be honest, I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about it.

That is exactly what dogs are for. That and to love.
Just moved here this winter, and all the neighbors have come by to let me know I better get my garden fenced or the critters will eat it all.

I just keep telling them they don't know my dogs. Once they figure out mom and dad have been putting in time in that garden, it will be off limits to all critters.
I don't think the neighbors believe me, but they'll see when the varmit bodies start piling up.

Isn't it cool to own a 'working dog'? They're the best kind, imo.
