Horse soap questions

Am planning on manufactureing soap for horses, soap with a cord loop that will fit over the wrist for ease of control. Is there anybody that is exspert in horse skin care here? Things such as Ph factors, types of oil used and not used, ect?

I can't advise you on the ingredients.

You are on to something here. Soap on a rope for horses, sounds great. It would make washing the horse easier. I hate the big bottles of liquid soap....you gotta set them on the ground....away from the horses feet....the bottle gets slippery during the washing process.

Great idea.

I don't use expensive hose shampoos any more. I use baby shampoo and customize it according to what horse I'm bathing. I don't think I'd ever use a hard soap. I doubt it would lather as quickly or well as a liquid.

Try mixing your horse shampoos into a bucket of wash water and using it from there. Wet the horse down first, then use the bucket of soapy wash water and then rinse. Worked for us for years that way.
