HILLBILLY 10 commandments

People here in Tennessee have trouble with all those "shalls" and "shall nots" in the Ten Commandments.Folks here just aren't used to talking in those terms. So, some folks in middle TN got together and translated the "King James" into "Jackson County" language

1) Just one God

2) Honor yer Ma & Pa

3) No tellin' tales or Gossinpin'

4) Git yourself to Sunday meetin'

5) Put nothin' before God

6) No foolin' around with another fellow's gal

7) NO Killin'

8) Watch yer mouth

9) Dont take what ain' yers

10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff

Now that's kinda plain an' simple, don't ya think? Y'all have a good day

We got them a'hangin' on the wall of our church too! That was one of the things made me fall in love with the church we belong too.After we found a good church,we said"That's the green light.Now we can move outta Jersey & find a nice little farm up here. That's the FIRST priority,a good Bible believing church,THEN you find the house.

Makes sense to me. I figure those apply to all of us, no matter what are faith may be.
