At the moment I'm selling so I can buy country land later.

If anyone wants a house in Mason Michigan (near Lansing, MI, in town, spacious back yard, 3 bd and a study upstairs, 1200 sqf, town has 10,000 people), just let me know! Cost is $104,000.

Or, if you prefer, for a mere $80,000, a 1700 sq ft home in Benton WI, 20 miles from Iowa, 10 miles from IL. Town of a thousand, 4 bd, 1 1/2 baths, laundry room.

I choose NO cause there are some bad people out there(like that animal scam that scammed some HT members a few years ago) remember that?!

However I am looking for a few acres in So. central IL. or N.W. Alabama to possibly build my landscape timber home.

well oil the idea is just to post the locations and contact info for properties we see for sale on the net or in our area... no ones playing re agent.

the forum might be more "secure" if it was like the teen forum, you need permission to get in... so not just anyone passing by can get in and maybe be a problem.

so those who are not interested wouldnt bother asking for permission to get in.

you cant cover every danger there is... its no different than reading online property listings anywhere else online....

if you have any other problems I havent thought of please post them in detail.. thanks!

think it is a good way to see the price of local land and homes. seems that out of state listings on line are the high priced stuff mostly.

Ok I confess, I would have a problem with NOT playing r/e agent because its what I do for a living. I am all for the forum though, I think its a good idea and could be quite helpful to a lotta folks. Especially if its done correctly. There are occasionally good deals to be had and if someone can share that knowlege with a fellow homesteader then its a good thing.

It would be kinda tough to keep all of "problem" types out of it but the mods do a good job in all the other forums. I think with just the basic rules that are observed with the other forums here things should function fairly well. It gets a yes vote from me, in spite of my being an agent.

well in that light, all the people here who are, or have worked in, the real estate biz can help out too.

the more link and the more expert advice, the better.

now, all we have to do is convince the owners and engineers to get the in gear...

hows about it admins? 81% tats better than george bush did and he got to be president.

lol

I have to agree with oilpatch on this one. This area is being RUINED by greedy land developers and rude and obnoxious city people. I would hate to see this happen in your area. I know that some of you would be great friends and neighbors but I couldn't ask you to tell me about some great land sale on the open forum area.
