Price of wood pellets in your area?

I'd appreciate it if folks could post the price per bag and the price per ton for wood pellets in their area. I'm doing a study to see if there would be an advantage to carload purchases.

I paid $189.00 per ton. If I were to buy by the bag they would add an add'l $1.00 per 40 lb. bag. There were half hardwood/half softwood pellets in SW Colorado area.

$4.19 a bag in this area, and everyone is sold out most of the time.

Thanks for the replies. The local pellet plant buys sawdust. FWIW, if anyone or a group is interested in a carload of pellets (about 100 tons) let me know. Won't be available until next spring. If someone has a bagger they can also buy in bulk and package for sale locally.

Given the large increase in pellet stove numbers, it might make for a side business.
