More house photos - finally!

Click here to see more house photos

You will see that I need to clean my camera lens - sorry about that -

Other than spots, you will see that the drywall is up and the pine ceilings are going up. That's to be finished today or tomorrow.
Insulation will be blown in the ceilings on Wed.
Drywall finishing begins on Thursday.
Then (a) CLEAN UP (b) painting (c) flooring (d) kitchen etc., etc.

I know it's hard for those of you who haven't been inside to get perspective, but I wanted to try to give you an idea of how high the ceilings are (that's why the little one is in the photos!) The last photo from yesterday is part of the basement, which will not be totally finished until we win the lottery I'm told I have to play to win, so I guess I'm out of luck

More updates to come!

Heather,What a great house and I love the location.

I love pictures of how a house is being built.

What kind of footer did you use? It does not look like a traditional dug poured footer.

It's round! Awesome!!!
Will it be done for Christmas? That tree is gonna look mighty purdy against those pine ceilings. Speaking of the tree, you could put it anywhere in the house, those ceilings are heigh enough :P
Again, awesome house!

That is just a gorgeous house! Does the style have a name?

Side note: your girls are adorable.

Thank you for all the nice comments about the house (and the girls!)
As it comes together, we are loving it more & more -

The house is a Deltec
www.deltechomes.com

They come in different sizes - ours is 18 sided, which one of our friends pointed out is technically called an "Octadecagon"

Don't worry, we won't be calling ourselves "Octadecagon Acres"

Wow, what a cool house! And what beautiful little girls. It really reminds me of a yurt. Good luck and wish you happy times in it.

Well, we came REAL close to doing a yurt but with the 2 little ones, we wanted something more permanent

We just love the style (my hubby has a bit of mediterranean blood in him, so maybe that's our problem!)
