ceramic tile underneath a wood burning stove

We are installing a wood burning stove this week. We are pretty sure we have everything we need. We wanted to get away from having to use the stove board under the stove by laying ceramic tile. Will this work? If not then I guess we will have to go with the stove board. Thanks.

Hi Tanyal, We use those 16 inch by 16 inch patio blocks from Walmart, looks good and plenty of protection. Daryll in NW FLA PS. we use ceramic tile on the wall behind the stove.

I'm pretty sure tile would not be considered combustible. Contact a tile manufacturer.

Thanks all. I think what we have should be good then. I can't wait to be able to use our stove.
