Outhouse plans?
I need (REALLY NEED) to get an outhouse set up at the cabin! We girls just aren't ..... uh... equipped.... as well as men to use the woods!
Do you know of any place that has SIMPLE outhouse plans? I only need a very small one-holer. And I will need to be able to either build it here and haul it in the back of a van (??) or put it together there sans power tools.
Thanks!
Chris
(To save confusion - this is for my friend's cabin. *MY* place will have a bathroom and electricity!!! Heheheh)

if there are no restrictions in your zone, install an indoor toilet, and a small septic tank & leach pipe setup.. all that is, is basicly a hole, (which your going to dig anyhow) with a plastic tank and an overflow pipe. bactrial action is pretty amazing.
you can line your hole with brick, if you have free brick.
if water supply is a problem, then you would be wise to just poop in a hole.
setting up some type of digester would be better...

Of course, there is always the ever-popular and oh-so-versatile Sawdust Toilet!
Inexpensive, easy to set up, great for compost.
What could be easier?

Why not use a Portapot, like the ones sold in Walmart, Kmart, etc?
They really work well, and you can put the away when you don't need them anymore, like in the winter or when you are going away for awhile.
You can put them in just about any Corner of a room, put a shower curtain around it and there you have a Toilet, and it doesn't have to be outside to freeze those buns off while going to do the deed.

you could have a wizz pipe...
thats a pipe, that goes outside and into a trench with a long leach pipe and burried. its good for a urinal setup.
not for #2...
have you considered a spud-gun? you could sit around the cabin and shoot the

I was trying to find plans for our outhouse online and found a sight that is a gallery for outhouses. I sent this in a few years ago. It's our outhouse built in our driveway in AZ before we moved it on a flatbed to ID.
Here are the plans: http://www.haddusa.com/products/throne.htm
you really don't need them, but I ordered them for my husband anyway.

Did you "arrive" before or after the outhouse "arrived" at your house?

hmmm, not sure how I should take that, since I don't have a new mixer yet.
(The 600 is looking like the real deal to me though)

Details, details....
The 600 is great. I made fettucine with it tonight. Pretty cool. I'm wondering if they have an attachment to vaccum or clean stalls.

Very nice pix!
Sure is prettier than any outhouse "I've" ever used!
