ID this stove

this is a wood stove ive had for years. its all heavy cast iron, originally had a coal grate and shaker that burned out. brick lined, pipe can be put out top or out the back. tripple steel plate heat shield on bottom and backside.

no tags, no name... but ive seen a lot of stoves and this one aint a cheap knock off. it takes 3 people to pick the thing up.

I bought it for 50 bucks.
I often wonder what it is worth, but I have no clue to who made the thing.

ever seen one with this design and type? if so someone please tell me what company made it, and when.

I was going to sell it and get a bigger one but I dunno what its worth and I'd rather keep it than short sell myself out of what might be a very valuable stove.

besides that, the little thing cooks me out of the house so I dont need a bigger stove... really. its impossible to find wood grates to fit it I have to weld my own up a few times a yr.
(I need a wood grate 16x11 for it to fit inthere right)

ok no prizes here... just a puzzle to pass the time.

Why not contact a couple of places that advertise that they purchase old stoves? Try here .

I can't tell who the manufacturer would be, the design is common for many styles and ages. I have an antique Kalamazoo, but have no idea on model or manufacture date. I called several heating distubutors and got extreme answers on both sides. One told me that thsi was the best thing to have, the other said sell it for a new one, this one would burn down my house. If you can, call a heating store that deals in wood burners and ask. They might not know manufacture but they should be able to tell you the basic operating principles and also if a refurb would be needed to operate safley. Good luck!! This old boys are hard to come by, and once you get it working you will love it. Selling it outright is hard, nowadays people are buying due to E.PA. regulations and local ordiances.

I never could for many years find the name on our kitchen cook stove. Then cleaning out the little .."clean out cubby hole"..for lack of a better word..I found the name. Is the ...Anywhere...it could be hidden. On the inside of the leg..or some dumb place like that. Don't know why they hide them. We also have a 1920's Kalamazoo in the livingroom..and yes when we chuck coal into that it surely will heat you out of house and home !!
