We went to see the American falls when they shut it off, other times too. I went to the hot spot of Niagara County a few times, Burt fisherman's dam, don't blink or you'll miss it. Until recently the widest bridge in the world was in Lockport the county seat. The Russians couldn't be out done so they built one wider. Of course the canal locks are in Lockport, I wonder how the city got it's name? Been to Cave street, You can't enter the cave since they closed it up in 1886 and built a house over the entrance. It runs for two miles under ground till it goes under water, there is a huge cathedral room under Main and Pine street, the city denies its existence, yet my Great grand father went down in it. Stood on 18 mile creek. Yes, on, it is buried in spots. I almost drowned in lake Ontario when I was a kid so I've been there. Fort Niagara is a neat place. As far as famous people, I didn't really know her, I went to school with Kim Alexis the model. I wasn't in the in crowd though, I was the quiet wall flower unpopular kid. (I think we were called losers by the cool kids in school) I live long the edge of the one time lake Tonawanda, and have been to a few of the spillways like gulf wilderness park, the canal locks, Royalton ravine park, buttermilk falls, and of course Niagara falls. I have gone to Medina and driven under the canal, that is kind of cool. So I have seen the sights around here, if I think I could probably come up with more.
