2014 In My Rearview Mirror (Almost)

The "big deals" for us in 2014:

1) My dad went home at a grand age of 85 (less 1 day)
2) Lets Go Royals!!!!
3) The milk barn is done, stock pens complete, goats contained, and permanent heated waterers put in. And the milk is flowing!
4) Got a greenhouse installed.
5) Gobs of rain and green, green, grass.

What's on your list?

As of this second both DH and I are still alive along with most of our family, but we've said a permanent goodbye to best friends and neighbors all year.

We've managed to keep within our budget and get through another year of retirement without too many health costs.

And we're thrilled to be able to say Happy 2015 and wish everyone a great year to come.

Nothing major here (which could be a good thing OR a bad thing!)...living day-to-day, learning new ways, and rediscovering the old.

Happy New Year!

stuff

said good-bye to my FIL on dec 28th after 2 very long miserable health years & lots of heart surgery for him. sad but he is better off. too much suffering for an 83 yo man. it will take a very very long time to sort thru his train collection & all is belongings. it will be a new year for the rest of the family & hopefully it will be a happier year to come. it is true that "old age ain't for sissies. " looking forward to spring & gardening & hope for new life as the spring & summer seasons roll around.
