Cheap outdoor furniture

Here's a couple ideas for outdoor furniture that won't break the budget.

I think we are going to try the first one. I want to put a row of block in the center too and then use 2 cushions instead of just one long one.
You could paint the blocks any color you wanted.

The first one looks like old-time hippy bookshelves!

Here is another way to get outdoor furniture cheap: drive through a nice neighborhood on trash day. You'll probably be able to score more plastic Adirondack chairs than you can fit in your truck.

People use them for a season or two, then they get all gunky with black mold from sitting outdoors, so they chuck them out. All you need to make them look like new again is a bottle of Tilex Mold & Mildew, a stiff scrub brush and a hose.
DamnearaFarm likes this.

BTDT! I'm still using the ones we trash-picked, alongside the chartreuse-green one I bought new for the cool color.

I have also trash-picked any number if wooden picnic benches and tables. When they get too rickety I either repair or use as potting benches.

To each his own, but I think these will weather much better than plastic.
I can't wait to make one.

Google up "2x4 furniture".

Should be able to find some free plans that will give you good service for many years.
