I just got a cool phone call...

A good friend just called and said a barn was being torn down about two miles from his house. He was standing there talking to the guy taking it down as he was on the phone with me.

I'm going to head over there Saturday morning to pick up all the wood I can for FREE!!! He said there was a whole lot of 6x6 and 4x4 mortise and tenon lumber..

I just wish my trailer wasn't out in WV, I'd load that up... guess I'll make as many trips as I can...

That could be an option I guess.. Just hurts to pay for something when you already got one.. but it's just not where you need it... DOH!

I'm just excited about being able to get some good old barn wood for free.. any is better than none..

What ever I have a use for good wood... I'd love to make some furniture from some of it, but I've already got a few of those projects started I can't get finished... If I can get enough, another out building could be in the plans too..

I've already been saving all of the 1" thick tongue and groove boards I've been taking out of the farm house while rehabing it.. so that will make great siding for something..

On a farm, there's always uses for old free wood
