Missionary Family in Honduras needs prayers. (image)

A freind of mine knows this family personally, and verified that this post is real. So I felt OK asking for prayers for this young man. I did ask permission. Please lift this whole family up in your prayers. I cannot imagine what they are going through. Below is the pix of the boy and then below that is the text from the original facebook message.
God bless you and yours
Deb

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!

We have just been alerted by Allen and Trish Sowers (missionaries in Honduras) that their 12 year old son, Ben, was kidnapped today. He was with his mother, Trish, in the car when this happened at gunpoint. A ransom has been demanded....

Please be in prayer for this family and especially in prayer for the safe and quick return of Ben....

And pray that they may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect Ben and his family from the evil one.
2 Thessalonians 3:2-4

We will update as we receive news...

May God be with them, and may he soften the hearts of the kidnappers so they release the boy unharmed.

what a murderous bunch down there. this goes on all the time. usually though they grab people from prominent families who can pay a big ransom. like for instance the ball players(I think) brother. they paid it but he was still murdered . they have let some go so we can only hope. so sad! ~Georgia.

Prayers going up. Trish told me that she used to live near me before they went to Honduras. I hope they get the boy back. I don't know what her churches policy is but ours is we don't pay any ransoms.
There was a kidnapping last year of one of our pastors, thankfully he escaped unharmed after 2 days. Let's hope this happens again.

we can only hope it's just some locals(isn't Trish on a small island) trying to make a quick buck. I can't see the cartels bothering with him. and also he's only 12. I know it happens every day in Honduras but it hits home when we feel like we know them . my thoughts are with Trish and the family today. ~Georgia.

I don't think that Trish is a Missionary- I could be wrong though-
I am FB friends with her- and I haven't seen anything-

This is her blog, that she lists here on her User Profile, same family as in the OP.

The little boy in the OP, appears to be the same boy that is in her blog. At the bottom of the 1st page in the Home Depot bucket. http://www.sowers4pastors.blogspot.com/

Trish from Honduras is from a missionary family. From the wording of the OP, I am assuming it wasn't Trish's FB page that the plea went out on, but her real life friend's. My guess is someone from Trish's family called "home"/ the US looking for prayer.....and the plea went out.

Well, I finally was able to get online just now and saw that he was free. There aren't any details yet, but we can all praise God! What a small world it is, but I love it when God shows us something like this.
God bless you and yours
