OTC med suggestion?

We occasionally want something for stomach-gas relief or indigestion. I read a bunch of labels today at the store, and could only find a liquid that states it acts on both symptoms. I don't want something like Prilosec, etc. just a tablet or lozenge I can chew (like a Tums), that will cover both symptoms. Thanks.

I realize that this is not an OTC med, but it is one that you may not have thought of. So just in case, I figured it wouldn't hurt to suggest it. I use fresh ginger tea for anything stomach related. I just get a fresh ginger from the store and when my stomach hurts, or my head, for that matter, I break off about a one inch square piece, skin it, slice it, mash it up in the cup a bit with the knife handle and pour hot water on it. I also usually add a teaspoon of raw honey. Let it steep for at least 15 minutes. The tea should taste spicy. Believe it or not, it works. Another tea that helps with the same issues is peppermint tea. That one you can buy in tea bags. It is excellent for stomach issues, especially expelling gas. HTH
God bless you and yours

I find Mylanta liquid, or the Walmart Equate equivalent very effective.

simethicone is the active ingredient you are searching for. It should relieve gas, and the uncomfortable stomach cramps that accompany it.

I use Walmart's generic version of Maalox. Much cheaper and exact same ingredients - calcium carbonate and simethecone. Chewable tablets and works for me everytime I've used it. My doctor approves too...

They are not chewable, but I keep ginger root capsules here for any kind of stomach issues. I don't always have fresh ginger so the capsules are easier for me.
