grape jelly

my mom gives us things that she gets from welfare that she doesn't like, one was a 48 oz grape juice. Ron had opened and drank some, and had it in the frig..and he had "grape jelly" on the shopping list....

click click click..I thought..5 min and I can make grape jelly..so I got started..and yup..in 5 min I had a batch of grape jelly in jars and setting up..and had some on toast a bit ago and it was really yummy..

saved me buying it at the store

no I don't use apple juice in my grape jelly, just grape juice, pectin and sugar.

apple jelly doesn't even require pectin as apples are full of pectin, but you can make either from bottled juice in the off season if you want to..mostly sugar but if you only use a little on your toast or biscuit it isn't THAT bad for you..compared to some other foods most people eat.

my husband loves jelly so I make several batches a year, and when it goes on the shopping list I know I need to get busy..fast..or he'll be spending money on things we don't need to buy.
