They grow to fast!

My DIL posted this photo today. I can't believe how much Coraline has grown since I last saw her on her birthday (Feb. 18). Little Miss is walking, talking and being a big girl! I'll get to go see her next weekend and can't wait!

Thanks everyone. Yes, grandchildren certainly do something to you! Despite her rocky start as a preemie, and the troubles her parents had at the time, she is doing exceptionally well. The Healthy Families program still visits once a week (and will until she is five years old). They recently did an evaluation on Coraline and she is six months to a year ahead on her motor and language skills.

Her mommy is still nursing her and their pediatrician said they are her breast feeding champions. My DIL has even helped other new mommies with nursing. She is a great mommy, which I am so grateful for...she's totally devoted to Coraline.

My son has been employed since last September and is doing well with it. He's now a certified technician in Alabama and I am very proud of him. My DIL is planning to start college in the Fall and my son is even talking about taking a night or online class or two. I would love it if they both got their degrees.

They moved in January to a slightly larger house. It's very cute, the landlady is extremely nice and they are much happier there. The front and back yards are completely fenced in so Coraline has a good place to play outside. They've been spending a lot of time outside on pretty Spring days.

Ravenlost, thanks for posting the pic and update! You never know how things are going to work out! Doesn't seem that long ago when you were in anguish over the situation with them! So glad it's going great!

That is wonderful. She is beautiful, and looks like she is gonna be tall. It sure does your heart good when it finely clicks with your kids and they settle down. It took my son about 45 years, but now he has quit drinking, almost 4 yrs. sober and is finely buying things he needs instead of beer. Now he can actually enjoy his two granddaughters.

The six or so weeks after she was born were some of the most heart wrenching and difficult days of my life...and I've had a lot of difficult days!

Yes, I think she's going to be tall like her daddy...he's just over six feet. She's 14 months old and has been wearing 18-24 month sized clothing for a while now. Her mommy tells me Coraline has an awesome appetite and isn't very picky. DIL makes all her food and said they can't seem to keep enough groceries!

Wow, she looks like such a big girl. It seems like only yesterday she was so tiny. Life seems to be working out well for them, which means less worry for you.
