stomach bug? conundrum

There's a lot of stuff going around in our area right now. DH started vomiting in the wee hours. We ate the same things, though in different proportions, and snacked on a few items he did not have. He seems to have stopped, but is clearly sick. Seems a little long (and odd) to be food-related. But the last time he left the place was last Sunday! No one has come to the door. I've been on the road in different directions and into various business, etc., M,T,W &Th. I'm feeling OK so far. What do you think?

Not sure, but my recent bout with the flu started with nausea and vomiting. After a few hours the nausea disappeared and normal flu symptoms set in.

One type of "stomach flu" is norovirus. It can be transmitted by someone who doesn't have symptoms, so you could have picked it up while you were out and brought it home, even though you don't feel sick.

From the Mayo Clinic website:

"Some people with norovirus infection may show no signs or symptoms. However, they are still contagious and may unwittingly spread the virus to others."

It's hard to say...just wash your hands very well...and frequently. Avoid close contact with your husband, clean commonly touched surfaces with disinfectant, wash bed linens, towels, etc. in hot water, avoid touching your face or food unless you JUST washed your hands. If he has something contagious, these precautions should help prevent you from getting sick if you have not been infected already.
