I feel somewhat guilty-Sorry!

Everybody has been gettin pounded by blissards, hurricanes, and such, while I here in Oklahoma have been enjoying some great early spring like weather. We got flowers coming up and blooming, wild onions and some of my garden onions are coming up. I need to get out there and plant something! Taters, onions, broccoli!!

All you that's gettin pounded by the blissard probably didn't want to read this did ya?

well, ocb, I seriously have been considering looking for some small patch of rural land out there, just so I can take a break during the winter.

Dont have stacks of money laying around, so it must be something low cost. Not sure yet if want a small cabin on it already, or figure something out to do a little at a time.
Never thought I'd return to a place was glad to get away from.
I would enjoy a winter break there (guess that's called spring in OK, still winter here)

Maybe, eventually, as I get older (or maybe not) would live there thru half of the year.

I feel the same--TV on, talking about the bad blizzards in the east--and I'm checking the flats of vegetables and flowers I have up under lights--expecting 60 degrees tomorrow. On the other hand, we havent had the snow to put nitrogen in the ground-nor moisture

I begining to wonder if spring will ever come. Last year we were in the 40's by now. Were still in the 20-30 range for highs and teens for lows. Supossed to get more snow today. I am done with the cold

Taters and peas in the ground.Flats of maters, cabbages, and lettuces, under the lights. Coldframe of cabbages, collards and lettuce all growing fine. Now waiting on mother nature to play her hand and wipe me out or fold and let me win once more.

Them is fighting words good sirs! A feeble ray of sunshine is illuminating the foot of snow my car is buried under...with no hope of spring in sight But first I need to shovel the fourteen steps from my apartment to get to it.

We "only" got 10 inches of snow here. I see where Boston has up to 30 with more to come

Now yer just showin' off
I haven't heard an official snow total for our town yet, but I guess we've got somewhere between 15-20 inches. The wind is still howling, but the weather man says it will die off later. Thankfully, we lost power for only about an hour last night.

The town snowplow driver took out our mailbox and a big section of our picket fence this morning DH went to the road managers office to complain. The manager said the driver is new and caused quite bit of damage around town, he even took out the wing plow on one of the trucks He said the town would take care of all damages. Great. So we're all paying for it in the end anyway

It's been a beautiful, sunny, slightly above freezing day here today. I've got the itch to plant too. I'm so tired of planting in pots in the house. I want to be in the garden working. But the ground is too wet and still frozen.

Our bad weather starts tonight, should be in a blizzard tomorrow and part of Monday. You could at least post some pictures of those flowers!

I just mowed the back yard to keep it from becoming a jungle. The Mexican Petunia is blooming, as are the azaleas, the lantana, and the apple trees.

I just planted a blue spruce in DS front yard today. He got it at Lowes for $18.95 on sale, $47.95 was the original price. It is 6' tall, nice looking tree....James

Wow, same here! I bought two bags of different kinds of bulbs to plant on my mothers grave. I've decided to plant real flowers on her grave instead of buying plastic flowers.

Be glad to holler at ya! If I can figure out when they're biting. With all this early spring weather we keep getting, I keep missing the peak spawn. Seems they do it a month early when I'm not ready yet. Hopefully Badger can join us, he's probably already got his freezer full.
