Batten Down The Hatches Winter Storm!

The northeast is getting ready to get hit with a significant winter storm. Thankfully, i don't work this Friday or Saturday. Have plenty of food cooked ahead, flashlights, blankets , water and car gassed up. Shovel is ready to be used Saturday to dig out. For all of you in this region: stay warm and ready to ride this out! The only folks I know who are looking forward to this are the ski resorts and town plow trucks (much needed overtime).

Don't forget Woodsy. He likes it. I think he might be a tad sick and wrong.

Silicone spray on the shovels...
Buckets of water...

Must be forgetting something.

I don't envy you! Last week I sat on the side of the road for three hours. Icy and slick. Those sanding trucks were a sight for sore eyes! Take care!

I think they have predicted 9 inches of snow for us from this storm but out farhter east some of those states they are saying maybe 2 feet.

I feel bad for all the Storm Sandy victims that haven't gotten everything back to life as they know it yet from the hurricane & now be hit with feet of snow.

Everyone be safe & stay warm, Careful shoveling too so you don't over do it or throw your back out.

Utility crews are already on call here, ready to roll if/when needed.

May God bless and protect the Folks still huddling in their destroyed homes and FEMA tents after Sandy.

I don't mind this storm coming. We haven't had much snow so far this winter and with the drought conditions around the country I'll be glad for the run off in the spring.

There is another nor'easter brewing for Valentines Day. The next one is not as juicy but will add something to the snow totals for the season.

I pray all of you in the storms path will be safe and warm. We have hurricanes but at least they are during warm weather.

The mets are making comparisons to White Juan with this storm and there are 3 more decent winter storms stacking up behind this one.
Winter is back on for the east coast.

I would much prefer to get this storm in the winter. When we lose power in the summer there's no a/c and the heat kills me. At least if it happens
during the winter I can light the stove and still be warm

It's been so warm here this winter that I almost envy the perpetration and excitement of waiting and watching a huge snow fall. But hope everyone stays safe gets to enjoy some home/family time inside.
