cork floors?

Anyone have any experience with cork flooring? I am thinking of putting it in my kitchen. I heard it felt warmer than tile or wood.

My aunt and cousin have cork, and it is very nice. They seem to love it.

We had cork put in our kitchen during the remodel last year, it was a close out from a flooring place going out of business ($2.78 sq ft, down from about $9 sq ft). I picked it cause it doesn't show spots and is comfortable underfoot.....we like it. It cleans easily, but I am noticing light scratching going on from the cat's claws.....I need to contact the manufacturer to see if there's a sealer I can use on it.

I also took a leftover piece and left it outside just to see what water/sun/weather would do to it....it's faded a lot, but hasn't crumbled, softened or otherwise fallen apart in the year it's sat out there. Made me feel better about having it in the kitchen, and when we redo the master bath I think we'll use it there too.

Goes with the cat too (and please excuse the messy kitchen)

The company my DH works for carries it and we plan to put it in out basement whenever I get around to doing it. I'm pretty sure that one of the reasons he wanted to use cork was because it would be warmer than the tile that's down there now.

That's a really high price for cork, especially the before price. DH works for Lumber Liquidators and here is a link to their cork page, the lowest is $1.29 and the highest price they are showing is $3.39.

My father put it in our house when it was built in 1957. I had to replace it in 2005. It held up well.
