Quiet Christmas

I had a quiet Christmas day. We always go to my dh's sister's house for dinner. Well, this year my daughter was sick with 102 degree fever. So, dh took the rest of the kids & I stayed home with her. I actually enjoyed it. I quilted all afternoon & watched the Hatfields & McCoys. That movie was almost 5 hours long, but it was very good. It was one of my gifts for Christmas. I really enjoyed just having a quiet day at home. I don't get many of those.

Wendy <> Was the 26th another quiet day in the great white southern Indiana?? How bad did the blizzard drift down there?? We never had a really heavy snow up here.. Lots of wind, but only under 3 inches of snow.. I am guessing that the blizzard slowed down the returns a Wally World..

I made my wife go with me to the clothing section and pick out a sweater she liked.. She oppened it Christmas morning, and the material is not what she thought it was in the store.. Back it goes, LOL

I hope your daughter is feeling better. The quiet holiday sounds very nice to me.

I pray your baby is better. The wheezing URIs this year have been bad all over. It sounds like you had a great Christmas with her though.

We had a quiet Christmas also, it was very nice. My parents/brother came up and my dad made his famous Reuben sandwiches for our Christmas meal. I had various 'nibbles' laid out on the counter so we had a very nontraditional meal. It was nice because we didn't have the massive cooking/cleanup routine.

I hope your daughter is better.

After Thanksgiving with 20 people here, it was sure quiet around here with just my
wife, younger daughter and myself. We cooked the complete dinner but in smaller amounts.

We had a quiet Christmas as well. My son and his girlfriend flew in from LA on Christmas Eve, but spent Christmas with her family. Daughter had to work, and other daughter was snowed in, so it was just hubby and I. We drove over to my daughters yesterday and picked up my eldest grandson for a visit, we'll be getting his younger sister and brother over the weekend so New Years will be kind of hectic. Then we'll take them home on the 2nd.
