Pinterest!

Any other Pinterest addicts around? You know who you are

I just love Pinterest and all of the amazing ideas on there. I am seeing a lot of people with albums related to homesteading, gardening, cooking, recipes, and rearing small farm animals.

My mother just went to an X Mas flower show and her friend was walking along saying "I saw that idea on Pinterest, and that one, and that one..."

If you haven't checked it out, you might want to.

Pinterest.com is the site.

I love Pinterest too! Lots of Christmas cookie and ornament ideas on there lately that I've pinned. Plus I love the interesting room construction ideas. We will be rebuilding our kitchen in a year or so and I'm getting all sorts of ideas (like the 'baking station') for when we design it.

I've made a few of the crock pot recipes there too and they've turned out well.

Do you still have to be invited to join or did they drop that since it became such a popular website?

Coolest new X Mas decorating idea. Fake ice/snow out of epsome salts. Once again..."why didn't I think of that!"

I had never heard of it...

Love it! I usually go to bed at night looking at Pinterest. I found a tree painted on a wall with picture frames all over it. I had my daughter to paint one on my wall and I'm in the process of hanging frames on it for a "family tree." It looks really good!

My name is GrannyG and I am an addict to Pinterest.....LOL.....I absolutely love that site and have many boards...every recipe I have tried has been a winner.....I love the sharing that is between strangers, so many have the same likes that I have and we can share the pictures....if I feel down, I just go look at My Favorite Loves.....and find that perks me up for the day....if I feel crafty, or in a cooking mood, I can find something I love...and when someone needs to find a certain recipe or craft...there is the search....LOL

Pinterest is computer crack, I swear! I can waste an entire evening pinning things! Now DD10 is as addicted as I am, but she is only allowed in the animal and cooking section.

Same here. The winter bedtime routine is now Pinterest and a tall glass of warm tea. So cozy!

Wink I'm afraid, very afraid...

I confess I've never gone there 'cause I would BE a gonner for sure. Besides, it might cut into my time on Homesteading Today!

Now I'm starting to waver though, I had thought it was just like an on-line cork board to paste links - you mean it has original content?

When you pin a picture, when someone else looks at it and clicks on it, the original link will come up in the right hand corner....some such as Flicker do not have links but the idea of the picture is what the person posted....Esty will show up on the information....try it out...you will love it....recipes, crafts, quilts, you name it....

I came across Pinterest about a year ago and have been happily addicted ever since, I've done quite a few things I found there too! It keeps mind mind more on cheerful productive things than the doom and gloom of the news sites.

Personally, I don't get it at all. Can't you just find the same stuff googling? Heck, google often directs me towards pinterest.

all of the things you like are in one place, organized by category. No more "where did I see that thing about refinishing cabinets?" I love it!

I feel really dumb & stupid and maybe showing my age, but I'm confused. What does it mean to "pin" something? Does that show up on FB?
