This really is funny..
Going around with my sis again about the money thing. They took out a title loan on the Jag, I guess to pay the rent and then DBIL and DN went out to a movie and dinner. I replied "What?" She got huffy and said I was acting morally superior and that I could pay off my student loan faster if I did not eat ice cream LOL.

I wrote back that I decided she is right, my financial ducks are not nearly as "in a row" as I would like them to be because my entire family owes me several thousands of dollars that they seem to never pay back. Therefore I had to put the break job on my credit card and now I have to pay off the credit card again as well as rebuild my emergency fund...cause I lent it to my freeking family! Then I had a good laugh and admitted that sometimes learning lessons is a good thing for me!

Simple ---- outgo < income

I know things come up. But your outgo under your income and most unexpected issues can be covered.

(I came up with this all by myself with out an advanced education.)

It is like "where has my brain been for the past 30 years?" Once I opened my eyes I was very surprised at my level of ignorance and compliance in meeting the never ending needs of those I love. I owe them such a big apology...but I don't think they would appreciate it!

Dang! Dinner and a movie for 2? With popcorn that is $100 right there, I can see why they so often "cannot" pay their rent!
