Mysteries of the universe

Where did my other sock go? Have been losing them for years. Not always the same place or machine, but they are gone.
How do you get a good ripe avacado? Yep it ha a sticker says it is ripe put a little pressure on it it seems like it is good. Get it home and presto chango it is black and mealy on the inside.
Are there other questions or do you have the answers?

A new mystery has suddenly came across my path....

A very expensive Honeycrisp apple turns into a cheap Gala once you get it home.

To squeeze is to bruise...

The real way to test (without spoiling the one you buy either) you have to look at the stem spot and look for indentation at the scar, maybe a little wrinkling. Compare and you'll see the sign.

The usual pile at the store gets ongoing damage by squeezers until the final assault of the actual purchaser squeezing his own bruises in.

So pull an unmolested hard one of good color from the bottom, don't squeeze it until you're in the guacamole mode.

As for socks, yes, they are now conspiring with pillow slips.

How do guinea pig tires end up underneath the couch cushions...they are too fat to be crawling around under them unnoticed

Yep, to get a ripe avocado pull that little blacks spot/stem off, if its nice and green you have a nice ripe and perfect avocado. If it's brown....put it down. Socks and other things that disappear.......they've fallen into the abyss

My solution to the sock situation is to only buy the same gray socks. I never pair them up. I just keep them in a sock bag. I never have odd socks because I do laundry before they run out.

I can't stand avocado's. DW loves them. But I can pick perfect ones every time and she can't -- go figure (they're shiny - think high gloss vrs flat)

I do the same except they're black - I can match up a pair in the dark with my eyes closed.

When you die, you go to a place where all your lost socks, marbles, and pocket knives await you.

I don't buy or eat avocados so that is a non problem.

Socks don't get lost if they're all the same color and look exactly alike. You might even come up with an extra one.

I don't have any questions other than where have all the zipper spiders gone.

We can't keep our socks but we also can't keep any scissors or bottle openers either. Somewhere in this house there has to be a huge pile of them. My good sewing scissors are hidden!!!

Nail clippers, too!!

How does the dog bite the socks completely open by the time you hear the first "snip"?

Socks get lost in the washer or dryer between the drum and the housing. Or the dog eats them.

We had a sock make it all the way to the vent hose! Found it in there after a while, fluff built up around it and our laundry room was like a sauna.

There is another you, in a parallel universe, that keeps finding extra socks in the dryer.

In my yard sale last weekend I had a set of bed sheets I had not used in 8 years. A lady looked at them and unfolded it to check it out.
One of my long lost socks was stuck to a sheet.
It was sorta embarrassing but she laughed about it.
