Anyone have LifeLock? Like/Dislike?

I got 2 unauthorized charges to my debit card, to the tune of $200, $100 each.

I called the bank, they canceled the card & returned the money. I called the 2 different companies to let them know.

The bank sent me an e-mail saying they found an error. Im not sure what that means. One company had the last 4 numbers of my card, the other didnt.

So one charge might have been a simple entry error, the other wasnt. Anyways. They are sending a new card. It would be too coincidental to get 2 accidental entry errors from 2 different companies, on the same day, same amount, me thinks.

I want to keep this from happening again and am thinking of getting Lifelock.
If anyone has it, or has had it, what do you think of it? Is it worth it, or just hype?

Or for anyone that this has happened to, any recommendations?
Im not interested in getting a separate card for Internet business/purchases.

TIA

I'm not sure about debit cards, but it's not uncommon for all cards of one type to have the same last 4 digits.

I think most Mastercards end with 1470

Its basically a debit card. One company had the correct 4 digits of my card, the other didnt.

Both "orders" were gift certificates sent to an e-mail address.

That makes it a FEDERAL crime
You can report it to the FCC

Have you tried to Google the E mail address?

BFF, not so. At least my MC ends in very different numbers.

All cards issued by the same "bank" will have the same FIRST 4 digits. The rest of the number should be unique.

Wow, you are so far off the truth it is not even funny! Please research things like this before you post, there might be people reading this who actually would believe what you say!

Anyone who would do that without VERIFYING would be making a mistake, the same way I did

We have several of the same type of credit cards. None have similar last 4 digits.

I don't have Lifelock. Thought about it, occasionally.

I asked when I called the companies what e-mail address they were sent to and the wouldnt give them to me

The companys will be contacting them directly though.

What makes it a fed crime? How do I contact the FCC? I will be more than happy to do so.

I saw a commercial to try lifelock free for 2 months. When I get my new card, the are going to be the 1st ones I call
